The unfinished idea of man
pp. 92-141
Abstract
If there were only a grain of veracity in the functionalization between ideas and experience in reality, one could still ask a vital question concerning such a theory. The question is whether or not all sketches in our lives happen by pure fortuity and pure chance. It does not seem that they do: human history, and our own personal lives as well, are always "one" history and "one" life, respectively, showing in each case a continuous sense and meaning that cannot be an outcome of chance, much as chances do occur everywhere.
