The principle of transparency and semantic antinomies
pp. 376-406
Abstract
The task I have set myself in this paper is to investigate semantic antinomies and the names of expressions which occur in them in the light of what is termed the principle of transparency. This principle states that when we use words as signs of any objects, our attention is focussed on those objects, and not on the words we are using.
