Abstract
"The same, but different' — this would be a good motto for the activities of the Parisian structuralists. The phrase gives us a lead in many respects. Today's structuralism, mainly French, is like structuralist thinking before World War II, but with changed perspectives and in new arrangements. The several circles that nowadays go to make up Parisian structuralism study the same themes as did previous structuralists, although they approach them differently.
