Abstract
Barbalets Emotion, Social Theory, and Social Structure (im Folgenden: ESTSS) knüpft entgegen der tendenziellen Dominanz konstruktivistischer Ansätze an die strukturalistische Linie der soziologischen Emotionsforschung (Kemper, Scheff, Collins) an, formuliert jedoch erstmals eine Makrotheorie von Emotionen.
