The becoming of essence

David Gray Carlson

pp. 239-248

Abstract

Measure posits a substrate beyond itself, but we are not yet finished with the realm of Being. There remains the short third chapter of Measure1 which previews the Doctrine of Essence. Real Measure ended with Measure external to the Substrate; the point now is to show that externality is equally internal.2
