Abstract

Is there a future for marxism? The question will annoy those opponents of marxism for whom it is a demon to be exorcised, a paroxysm unamenable to rational discussion, an error long ago refuted, stemming from the darker side of the human soul. It will also irritate those marxists who believe that to ask such a question is to admit the possibility that the answer might be "No".
