The absolute

Joseph Bocheński

pp. 102-112

Abstract

IN THIS, our last discussion, we come to the problem of the absolute, as the philosophers are wont to call the infinite. And we come to it at the end because, for the philosopher, God, and it is with Him that we are dealing, does not stand at the beginning as He does for the faithful. If the philosopher reaches Him at all, it is only after long wandering through the realm of finite, worldly being.
