Art's way

John Baldacchino

pp. 1-13

Abstract

Art's way resists definition. Yet we never seem to get tired or even bored of posing the same question: "Is it art?" The problem with this question is not that one cannot answer questions about art. The issue lies with the tautological import of the question's subject: art. Anyone who is engaged in art or lays claim to it would know that to ask whether something is or is not art is at best misleading.
