Meditation and meaning

Jeff Harrison

pp. 124-135

Abstract

If I were to write this chapter tomorrow, I would be different, the world would be different, and the chapter would be different. All is flux. Paradoxically, conventional theoretical statements—if they are to retain any enduring value—can only denote the unchanging qualities of such flux, perhaps by describing a mode of perception or quality of being, rather than its contents.
