Abstract

At the beginning of the year 1920, I arrived back in Paris, extremely glad to see my friends again. … The début of Dadaism in Paris took place on the twenty-third of January, at the matinée organised by the Dadaist review Littérature. … Picabia, who has undergone so many influences, particularly those of the clear and powerful mind of Marcel Duchamp, exhibited a number of pictures, one of which was a drawing done in chalk on a blackboard and erased on the stage.
