Abstract

This paper presents the wave field synthesis (WFS) lab at the HAW Hamburg. It gives a short summary of the theoretical background, practical limitations and typical application scenarios. The hardware and software architecture of the system is outlined with particular emphasis on the open sound control (OSC) interface to control virtual sources. Examples of current and planned applications and modifications of the WFS system are summarized.
