pp. 503-512
Abstract
The sense of immersion—the feeling of losing track of time and space—is something all of us have experienced. Whether it is through a film, an interactive game, or hiking in a landscape, these immersive experiences have been sought after since the beginning of humankind to open our minds to new possibilities and expand perceptions of our world. This article explores the role of art in crafting immersive experiences and how a variety of mediums activate our senses in very different ways.
