The self or the cogito in kinaesthesis

Yorihiro Yamagata

pp. 9-19

Abstract

The concept of flesh is capital in Merleau-Ponty's last works, L'oeil et l'esprit and Le visible et l'invisible. The author uses it to elaborate once more the concept of the body he presented in Phénoménologie de la perception. In his last book, the flesh signifies primarily our living body.
